Claybank Ridge

Michigan Cryptid Investigation — Est. 1978

This is a joke page. The dogman is not real. Probably.

Case Files

Recovered from a filing cabinet found in the woods. We did not ask questions.

Case #047 1987

The Manistee Howl

A camper reported a howl "like a wolf, but with paperwork." Investigators arrived three days later and found a thermos, one (1) boot, and a strongly worded note. The note has been classified.

Evidence: blurry photo of a raccoon. Status: Unsolved (obviously).

Case #112 2003

The Porcupine Mountain Peeker

Hikers described "a tall figure watching from the treeline, politely." It did not approach. It did not blink. It did, witnesses claim, nod once before leaving. Manners: impeccable. Species: pending.

Evidence: a single size-14 boot print and a thank-you card. Status: Unsolved (obviously).

Case #208 2019

Gas Station, 2 AM

A clerk reported a "seven-foot customer" buying beef jerky and exact change. Security footage shows only static and what experts call "a tall blur with excellent posture." The jerky was never recovered.

Evidence: exact change. Status: Unsolved (obviously).

How to Report a Sighting

  1. Remain calm. (We never do.)
  2. Do not chase it. It is faster than you. It pays taxes faster than you.
  3. Take a photo. It will be blurry. They always are. That's the rule.
  4. Tell us everything. We will believe approximately 40% of it.
